Laura Silagi has been creating art in various forms over the past thirty years. She has worked in a variety of media, including photography, video, installation, performance, and web based pieces. She uses the complexities of the everyday, as well as social/political material for her art. She has created public art pieces, and has collaborated with other artists on many projects. She is a founding member of “Mother Art,” and is currently part of the group, “Artists Formerly Known As Women.” She has exhibited widely over the years, and is particularly interested in art situated outside the gallery.
